A 1 hour or 1.5 hour appointment can be scheduled. If financially feasible it can help to begin with one hour sessions weekly for a period of time and then move to one and a half hour session every two weeks.

Session structure:

Session 1             

You can expect that the first 5-10 minutes of the session will be to discuss confidentiality and privacy issues along with cancellation of appointments and you will be given opportunity to ask questions. You will have the opportunity to talk about why you have sought out treatment and in the last 5-10 minutes I will take the opportunity to speak more about the therapy I practice and to set up another appointment if you wish and to inquire how you are feeling as you leave session.

Session 2 and beyond 

All further sessions will explore the content of emotions that you bring to session. This is your session. I will support you to identify what you are feeling, to stay with the feelings as you can to process and understand them toward healing and real lasting change. In the last 5-10 minutes of the session, I will take the opportunity to set up another appointment if you wish and to inquire how you are feelings as you leave session. 

 

Individual Sessions

These are sessions focused on supporting you to explore your feelings and experience and integrate them in order to lead a happier, healthier and productive life.

Relationship sessions

These are sessions focused on communication, healthy boundaries, and healthy expression of feelings between a dyad in order to experience a satisfying relationship through reducing over and under reactions around differences and conflict.

Parenting consultation

These are sessions focused on supporting you with the challenges you are facing as a parent in order to work toward and experience a loving connection with your child.
